APFAD PRINCESS & PROM QUEEN KATHERINE
Katherine graduated from Science Park HS, a magnet school in Newark, NJ that was one of five finalists in a nationwide competition to have President Barack Obama deliver their commencement speech. Katherine maintained a weighted 3.725 GPA despite dealing with a chronic illness and spending most of her life in and out of the hospital with various reconstruction and emergency surgeries. She was a member of the National Honor Society, a Peer Leader, the lead writer at her school newspaper, and part of the yearbook staff. She is also a Gates Millennium Scholarship recipient which pays for undergrad and grad school. She is attending Rutgers University in the fall and majoring in English/Women's Studies/Journalism.
LISARAYE MCCOY
Hailing from Chicago, IL Ms. LisaRaye McCoy is the woman every guy drools over! It all started with her role in Ice Cube’s cult classic The Player’s Club. In 2003 Ms. McCoy joined the cast of “All of Us,” a sitcom produced by Will and Jada Pinkett Smith loosely based on their family. In the fourth and final season of the series, Ms. McCoy was nominated for an NAACP Image Award. She is currently starring in the second season of her own reality series, “LisaRaye: The Real McCoy” airing on TVOne and on VH1’s latest hit and first scripted series “Single Ladies.” Ms. McCoy wore the dress she donated to the 2009 NAACP Image Awards.
